“2006 AMERICA’S BEST BUILDER” CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH 3 NATIONAL COUNCIL ON SENIOR HOUSING AWARDS

Crofton, Maryland – At a gala celebration at The International Builders Show held at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Orlando, Florida on January 13, 2006, Caruso Homes received the supreme honor of being named “2006 America’s Best Builder.” This ultimate accolade, presented by the National Association of Home Builders and Builder Magazine, puts Caruso Homes at a lofty level that can only be reached by three homebuilders each year.

In the words of Builder Magazine in its January, 2006 issue in an article dedicated to Caruso Homes, the “2006 America’s Best Builder” award is based “on outstanding performance in the areas of marketing, finance and operations, customer service, product and community/association activities. One cannot do well in just a few areas to win; a builder must score exemplary marks in all categories.”

At The International Builders Show, Caruso Homes was also recognized with three National Council on Senior Housing Innovation Awards for their active adult planned community of Symphony Village in Centreville, Maryland. This raises the total of NCOSH awards won by Symphony Village to an extraordinary six in the last three years. These awards were for Best Active Adult Community (twice), Best Website, Best Brochure, Best Clubhouse and Best Clubhouse Interior Design.

Quoting again from the same article in Builder Magazine, “It has been a very good year for Caruso Homes. A 20th anniversary celebration. Winning Best In Show for The Monticello model in the FABA Parade of Homes. Having their Vivaldi, Beethoven, Princeton and Rembrandt models named best of the best by the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Associations.”

Symphony Village, Caruso Homes’ best-selling active adult community, features 395 single family residences and a lavish clubhouse. It includes tennis, badminton, bocce, horseshoes, a putting green, walking trails and a community flower garden, as well as seven sumptuously original active adult single family designs, and a supreme year-round resort setting on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
