Symphony Club Construction Underway in New Active-Adult Community. Ceremonial Flag-Raising At Clubhouse Planned for May 1. Centreville, MD – Prospects shopping for a new home on the Eastern Shore have another enticement at Symphony Village in Centreville to consider: right in the heart of the award-winning community an expansive clubhouse is taking shape. Workers are laboring to pour the foundation and erect the walls that will give shape to The Symphony Club, an expansive complex of entertainment and activities for the active-adult residents in the community. Construction is proceeding on a timetable that would permit a ceremonial raising of an American flag over the new center on May 1. Maryland Local Maryland political dignitaries are expected to participate in the flag-raising. "Calls, visits and sales of homes in Symphony Village are at such a fever pitch that we want to deliver the amenities our residents expect sooner than later," said Jeff Caruso, CEO of Caruso Homes and a principal member of the Symphony Village development team. "We are placing a major emphasis on the style and design of the Symphony Club to ensure that it becomes the comfortable gathering place for our residents now and into the future." Caruso said that the Symphony Club will bring neighbors together in a center for recreation, activities and events. The Club will feature year-round swimming indoors and out, a ballroom, billiards, game rooms, a business center, a comprehensive fitness facility and much more. Outdoor activities will include tennis, badminton, bocce, horse shoes, a putting green, walking trails and a community flower garden. Visitors approaching the Symphony Club will see a handsome building with an arched entry topped with Palladium windows. Oversized windows across the front of the building will guarantee light-filled rooms throughout the center. Large wings to the left and right of the main entrance carry the traditional architecture across sightlines. At the rear of the Symphony Club is a large, free-form outdoor swimming pool, ringed by trellises and cabanas to offer shade. An arched, glass-covered indoor pool for cold-weather swimming, borders the outdoor pool deck. Other active sporting activities as well as a community garden surround the Club's exterior. "Our calendar of activities will include something for everyone, everyday with organized recreation, activities, games and classes at the Symphony Club and in the community," said Jeff Caruso. "As our Lifestyle Director says, "this is the life". |
